Fergie tells PEOPLE that 2012 might be the year she starts a family with her husband of nearly three years, Josh Duhamel.

"Maybe, who knows?" the singer, 36, said about her baby plans while ringing in the new year at the grand opening of The Mirage's 1 OAK Las Vegas. "We'll see."

For now, she's focusing on the special someone already in her life: Duhamel, 39, with whom she first stepped out in 2004.

"I want to spend time with my husband, watch football, watch basketball," she said. "I'm going where the day takes me – having days where I have no schedule. That's going to be nice and refreshing for me … a definite change."

The singer, who rapped to the crowd as Kanye West manned the deejay booth, said she also wants to redecorate her house (perhaps a nursery?).

She added about her hopes for the new year: "I'm looking forward to being home and not having to sleep in a different city or country every night."

Pia Toscano recently opened up about her fondness for "sweet and extremely supportive" Mark Ballas, who took her out on a date last week.

But how does Ballas feel about the eliminated American Idol contestant?

At Monday's Dancing with the Stars performance show – after Ballas and partner Chelsea Kane topped the leaderboard – he called her "a really beautiful girl," and told PEOPLE, "She's really cool."

When asked after Tuesday's Dancing elimination if the two are dating, Ballas grew coy. "It is what it is," he said. "I'm having a great time. I have no complaints right now."

While Toscano, who termed Ballas a "really good friend," was nowhere to be seen in the audience Tuesday night when Ballas was saved from elimination, the dancer says she'll "maybe" be his guest to the show soon. "I'll leave that for you to investigate," he said with a laugh.

Whatever their romantic status, the person responsible for facilitating their meeting says he did it because the two make a cute couple.

"They've gone on like one date together, so we'll see what happens," fellow Dancing contestant Chris Jericho said. "Maybe they can invite me to the wedding and I'll freeload off them for a free meal."

"It's funny," Jericho continued, "I didn't really do anything. I just passed a couple phone numbers around and look what happened – I'm casting my love spells."

lJennifer Lopez disagreed with America's choice on Thursday's American Idol, and says she's still miffed that Pia Toscano was sent home so soon.

"She was one of the most talented singers we had," Lopez said, calling into Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show Friday morning. "I'm still shocked."

Why does Lopez think Toscano was eliminated? "Honestly, I don't know what happened," she said. "[Maybe] people thought she was safe, as I did ... Maybe there was something that wasn't connecting [with the audience] that we didn't see."

Lopez, who likened the ousted singer to a prized student, said she and her fellow judges – Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler – pushed Toscano every week because they had high standards for her and saw her talent. "Honestly, I always had the best intentions," Lopez said. "I just wanted to see the growth every week. I wanted her to shine."

After the show, Lopez, who cried at the decision, came up on stage and had a heart-to-heart with Toscano.

"I told her to stay pure in her heart, to have faith and to know that if this wasn't the path for her that there was something bigger for her," Lopez said, recalling their conversation. "That there is something bigger for her. And I believe that."

UPDATE TURNS OUT PIA GOT SIGNED TO A RECORD DEAL ANYWAY SO PEOPLE IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS DO KNOW TALENT WHEN THEY SEE IT.

Less than a week after her shocking exit from "American Idol," it appears that Toscano has already landed a record deal ... with "Idol" advisor Jimmy Iovine's Interscope Records. Pia is being signed to a deal with Interscope Records who are rushing her into the studio to record an album ASAP," a source tells Us. "Starting [Thursday] night after the show, Interscope told her they wanted her, and first thing [Friday] morning Interscope brass started calling every top songwriter and producer in town to get an album together and rush release it.

Of course, while the source calls it "basically a done deal," there's still no official comment from Interscope on the matter. A rep for the singer told E! Online this weekend that the reports of her signing are "all rumor," and a spokesperson for the label did not respond to MTV News request for comment by press time.

Britney Spears' new single is already a record-breaker - Hold It Against Me has garnered the highest number of U.S. radio plays in one day.

Spears released her highly-anticipated track on Monday and the new single became an instant success, shooting to the top of iTunes digital chart on the first day it was available, before falling to second place.

The song also shattered all previous one-day airplay records in America on Monday.

"David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to confirm they are expecting their fourth child in the summer," their rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Oksana Grigorieva -- the mother of Mel Gibson's eighth child -- claims the actor "beat her up badly" in January ... this according to sources familiar with the case.

Oksana went to court on Monday and got a domestic violence restraining order against Gibson, requiring him to stay clear of her.

Sources connected with Gibson tell TMZ Oksana's claim is bogus, and they point to the fact that Oksana stayed with Mel after the alleged incident.

But sources connected with Oksana say after the alleged beating, Mel promised to get help and she still loved him ... but only stayed with him a short period of time before ending the relationship.

We're told Oksana fears for the safety of her daughter, and that is why she would not let Mel spend time with the baby on Father's Day. Sources say she thinks her baby is at risk if she spends time alone with Mel, although the sources would not elaborate on specifics.

As we first reported, sources tell us Oksana claims after January, Mel continued threatening her. We're told Oksana believes Mel is so violent, her life is in danger.

The next day, Mel's lawyer went to the judge and got the restraining order modified, allowing him to see Lucia -- just like it was agreed before.

During the hearing, it came out that Oksana had secretly taped arguments she had with Mel. The judge ordered the tapes sealed and also ordered Oksana not to talk publicly about the recordings.

And, we're told, the judge was extremely unhappy with Oksana's lawyer for not revealing that there had been a mediated custody agreement in place.

Lindsay Lohan didn't have alcohol in her system when her SCRAM bracelet went off earlier this month at an MTV Awards afterparty, according to her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley.

A urine test taken shortly after the alert showed a negative result for alcohol, said Holley.

An L.A. district attorney spokeswoman wasn't aware of the negative test result. The DA's office office previously said the alert was "an alcohol-related violation." It remains unclear what triggered the device. Holley also denied that Lohan tampered with the bracelet.

Lohan, 23, remains free on $200,000 bail – a new amount which the judge set in her case on June 8 after the SCRAM alert. Lohan remains subject to weekly random drug testing and must abstain from alcohol.

The actress still faces a probation violation hearing on July 6. She could get up to six months in jail if a judge determines that she hasn't fully complied with her probation terms.

Not one to limit showing her gratitude to fans in a brief acceptance speech, Taylor Swift is going to devote an entire day to thanking her admirers.

At the June 13 CMA Music Festival, the country star will host a 13-hour meet and greet.

"My favorite thing about CMA Music Fest has always been getting to spend time with the fans," Swift – whose Fearless tour wraps this Saturday at Boston's Gillette Stadium – said in a statement. "So this year I waned to figure out a way to meet as many of them as possible."

Her day will begin at 8 a.m. at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, followed by a short acoustic performance around 2 that afternoon. The event, which is free and open to the public, will wrap up at 9 p.m.

"Thirteen is my lucky number," says Swift, 20, "and the 13th is during Music Fest, so I think spending 13 hours with my fans is going to be amazing!"

Gary's divorce lawyer, Randy Kester, tells TMZ the couple divorced on August 12, 2008, and as far as he knows they never remarried.

Kester does not know if Price had a power of attorney to make medical decisions.

A hospital official tells TMZ they have "become aware he may not have been married to her." But the official said she was portraying herself as Gary's wife and they didn't require further proof.
